Addition of architectural textures and Kraft paper
I felt like the look was a bit too crisp with the solid colors so I decided to add elements of texture. I decided on architectural elements because I wanted it to have a more urban feel rather than fields and grass. After all, the store would be located in a large city. I have decided to stick to kraft paper for most of my paper textures because people associate it with recycled and handmade things.
I just graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I love art, graphic design, architecture, photography….. The list goes on. I consider my style organized mess. My first inspiration was Sabrina Ward Harrison’s book called Spilling Open. I spent days drooling over her imagery. With my graphic design I try to have computer generated images with a touch of hand elements. I am in love with the book Fingerprint by Chen Design Associates. “Even the hint of a hand-created element can activate a surface, instill passion and energy into a medium, and reassure the recipient that human understanding and insight are the foundation for the message.” -Josh Chen, Introduction, Fingerprint.
Thank you and Enjoy...
